February 3, 2024:  Illinois Reading Council will host the Illinois Reads Book Festival from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Westmont High School, 909 Oakwood Drive, Westmont, Illinois. 

March 14-15, 2024:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 55th Annual IRC Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the highlights planned for 2024.

ILLC regrets to inform you that we no longer have the people to staff nor the financial stability to fund our statewide Illinois Young Authors Conference (YAC) in 2023.  It was a wonderful experience for hundreds of students each of the 40+ years we were able to host it. We are deeply saddened that we are no longer able to host it as we have.  Thank you to all that have helped with or participated in YAC in the past. You are all appreciated!
