September 7, 2026:  East Central-EIU Reading Council will host Moms & Kids Book Event from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Morton Park, 1215 Division St, Charleston, Illinois. 

September 26, 2026:  East Central-EIU Reading Council will host Comic Con Convention at Eastern Illinois University, Booth Library, 600 Lincoln Ave, Charleston, Illinois. 

October 30, 2026:  East Central-EIU Reading Council will participate in the Scare on the Square from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Charleston Downtown Square, 7^th and Jackson Avenue, Charleston, Illinois.

March 11-12, 2027:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 58th Annual IRC Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the highlights planned for 2027.
