August 27, 2026:  Black Hawk Reading Council will host a Council Social and Membership Drive from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at River House Bar & Grill, 1510 River Drive, Moline, Illinois.

September 17, 2026:  Black Hawk Reading Council will host a Book Talk from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Anthology for Books, 137 S. State St, Geneseo, Illinois.

October 20, 2026:  Black Hawk, Illinois Valley, Two Rivers, and Will County Reading Councils are co-hosting the Classroom Management That Cultivates Care with Melissa & Tim Wheeler from 5:30 to 6:30 pm via Zoom. 

October 29, 2026:  Black Hawk, Illinois Valley, Two Rivers, and Will County Reading Councils are co-hosting the R.L. Stine Virtual Author Visit from 12:30 to 1:30 pm via online.  Contact one of these councils to participate! 

January 26, 2027:  Black Hawk, Illinois Valley, Two Rivers, and Will County Reading Councils are co-hosting the Maslow Meet Bloom:  Bridging SEL Needs and Literacy with Cindi Koudelka from 5:30 to 6:30 pm via Zoom.

February 11, 2027:  Black Hawk Reading Council will host an Author Dinner with Jason Platt at 5:30 pm.  More information will be available soon.

March 11-12, 2027:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 58th Annual IRC Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the highlights planned for 2027.

April 13, 2027:  Black Hawk, Illinois Valley, Two Rivers, and Will County Reading Councils are co-hosting the Literacy as a Tool for Healing from Trauma with Julie Hoffman from 5:30 to 6:30 pm via Zoom.

May 6, 2027:  Black Hawk Reading Council will host a Council Celebration from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at River House Bar & Grill, 1510 River Drive, Moline, Illinois.
