10 Mentor Texts to Jumpstart Writing By Jenny Wagh
Document: Special Feature
Introductory Paragraph: Reprinted with permission from the Fall 2025 SCBWI Prairie Wind Newsletter. Sometimes we all need a little motivation to write. It may be sparked by the season, like a spooky fall tale, or a narrative nonfiction after a walk in the woods. Below are 10 mentor texts to inspire writing for you and your students.
