Rajan is the author of many fiction and nonfiction books for children, including her most recent biography of the friendship and collaboration between Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, That Swingin’ Sound. As a trained musician herself, she knows full well the power of music to sooth and entertain us, and this biography is a tribute to two icons with a lasting musical and cultural legacy.
