October 23, 2025:  Southern Illinois Reading Council will host AI in the Classroom with Tim Wheeler from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Murphysboro Middle School, 2125 Spruce Street, Murphysboro, Illinois.  THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!

December 4, 2025:  Southern Illinois Reading Council will host the SIRC Holiday Celebration from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Alongi’s, 18 W Main Street, DuQuoin, Illinois.

January 13:  Southern Illinois Reading Council will hold a Board Meeting from 6:00 to 7:00 pm via Virtual Meeting.

March 12-13, 2026:  Illinois Reading Council will host the 57th Annual IRC Conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Please take a moment to peruse the highlights planned for 2026.
