Finding Common Ground: Understanding Ourselves and the World Through Literature:
What We’re Reading

By Jung Kim and Deborah Augsburger

Document: Column

Introductory Paragraph:  Sometimes we like to just check in with what we are reading and what we think is good. The books here represent the diverse nature of what we read—from books about names to horror stories to graphic novels. Grappling with issues of identity, culture, and strength of character, each of the books reinforces the joy of reading, losing yourself in someone else’s story, and possibly even learning something more about yourself. We hope you and your students enjoy these books as much as we have.
